Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 21, 2026

OCRFlow is built to keep your documents private. This policy explains what happens to your files, images, recognized text, and the limited data used for ads and analytics.

Documents and images

  • PDFs, photos, and scans you open in OCRFlow are processed on your device.
  • We do not upload, store, or view your documents or images on our servers.
  • Files stay in the app's local storage until you delete them or uninstall the app.
  • Camera and photo library access is used only when you choose to scan or import.

OCR text

  • Text recognition runs locally; recognized text is saved only with your document on your device.
  • Text leaves your device only when you copy, share, or export it yourself.
  • If you use iCloud or another file provider, that provider's privacy policy applies to files you save there.

Ads

  • The free version may show ads provided by third-party ad networks.
  • Ad partners may use device identifiers to serve and measure ads. On iOS you will be asked for permission before any tracking (App Tracking Transparency).
  • Ad networks never receive your documents, images, or OCR text.
  • Upgrading to the paid version removes ads.

Analytics

  • We collect anonymous usage and crash data (e.g. app version, device model, feature usage) to improve stability.
  • Analytics never include document contents, file names, or recognized text.
  • You can limit analytics through your device's privacy settings.

Purchases

In-app purchases are handled by Apple. We do not receive your payment details.

Children

OCRFlow is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their personal information.
